Religions depict demons as evil beings. A man possessed by a demon becomes an Endosym: two entities living in one humanoid body whose goal is to become the "Apex Predator" of the Planet.

When Doctor George Nah Sarday, the leader of the new age cult Dacari Mucomba, purchased the old Johnson Plantation in Johnsonville, Virginia as the site for the School for West African Spiritual Studies, Chief of Police Brian Bishop had little reason to be concerned.

Little did Chief Bishop realize that it was far more than just another fake religion bilking money from its followers; the School was hiding the creature whose existence would threaten not only the City of Johnsonville but also the very existence of the human race. With time running out and marked for death, Chief Bishop finds an unlikely ally in Tim Martin, a senior at the University of Virginia who knows too well what they must face when they meet the Endosym.
